I’m actually interested in our subjectivity. Pure opinion. Pure feeling. Pure emotion. Nothing objective. And in that, there is the universal
I want you to challenge what you assume is real or unreal. I want you to move into a life of wonder and what Kazuo Ohno called, madness
Maybe I’m just taking people into their own imagination, their own unknown. By Imagination I do not mean figuring out, but into the unknown. No story. No understanding. By imagination I mean possibility and discovery
You think that being completely honest is not the right path. You think in order to find it you must stop what you are feeling. Stop the direction of what is happening. Seek the answer outwardly. When we see that this is not true, what a relief it is. Our entire being is already, always trying to go towards it
From the Gospel of St. Thomas “Come to know what is in front of you”
If you can feel into your most true desire, and become that and allow it to drive you into your innermost feeling, you will see that that is the universe driving you toward the answer
We truly are God’s children
I want to validate your experience, validate what you feel when you truly face yourself
In feeling into our most intimate drives, in the most personal texture of baring all, is something universal waiting for us
To see someone deeply in love in their process, not looking around for verification, not looking elsewhere, blazing in this metamorphosis, living on this edge of exploration, crying, floating, shining, full, unity, is so rare and beautiful. But we must
This delicate process of birthing life. Allow the process to develop, it can’t be forced, it is all so personal
A person deep into their process, they’re undefinable. They are beyond understanding. They are splitting the void. They are redefining life as they move. They move mountains. The rules begin to bend for them This is not metaphor or hyperbole.
I am trying to get you to feel that place where you are interacting with life, feel that and validate that, and give you permission to creatively explore that place. What is happening?
A fish flops around in the shallow water. It’s clumsy and unimpressive. Can’t swim fast. Doesn’t have 3000 teeth like some sharks. But something interesting is happening. somehow this longing is driving it. This primordial urge to discover. And one day, flopping around in that shallow water, it takes a breath of air.
That’s just like us. We’re flopping around, no idea what is going on. Living in the unknown. We’re actually living in this world of madness. We are somehow drawn to something, pulled into it. Life is being lived. Primal forces are moving through us. And one day, beyond comprehension, that fish takes a breath of air.
We are just like this. and yet, we are feverishly trying to justify ourselves, trying to make meaning. Make sense of it. And one day we make a great leap.
I’m here to validate your experience. Validate your process. To encourage you to follow what is calling to you in your most sincere honesty. Could it be any different that the universe shares your deepest hopes?
But to feel this madness, turn into it. Live in this place of unknown. It’s not so much that we practice in order to get somewhere and then stay there. Rather, to live in this madness, unbound. This is not something abstract, but to live in this place of unknown.
Any understanding I thought I had, anytime I tried to hold onto an idea, my teacher took it away from me. And for that I am so grateful.
He gave me the space to explore. He let me find my own way. He allowed me the leeway to feel into the darkness and invent a new way of interacting with life, a wild blind embracing of life
There is a saying in Zen, to see with your ears and hear with your eyes, this is much of what I am ushering you into
I’m more interested in this than following a formula to become skillful. For me, this creative life is what I am interested in sharing, teaching
Real life
Play
Fascination
Fall in love with what is happening, this process
Realizing the importance if what is happening
Have the courage to embrace the unknown and feel it hold you
Kazuo Ohno

This one completely absorbs me when i read it. It's one I'm aiming to revisit as i continue jumping out of the water to flop around for a little while to see if i can experience some fresh air.
Thanks for sharing this, Corey.
Love that. Thanks for skilfully putting into words this whole madness show! Grateful!
